Part of my dream is to learn how to do the mechanical work on my bike.  This involves wanting to get dirty.  But, it also involves actually doing the various tasks.  I am changing out the horns on my bike in these first five photos.  I have a brake job lined up to do soon and will have my photographer get some photos of that much dirtier task when I tackle it.

To be more specific, my real dream is to restore an old motorcycle.  My V65 Magna kind of fits that description, but currently the major restoration is more cosmetic than mechanical.  However, it will be my first project and perhaps someday I will come across the old bike that appeals to me.  I have in mind something like a mid-60s Honda CB77 Superhawk, early 70s Honda CB450 or a late 60-early 70s Honda CB750.  Of course, such a project would involve time, energy, research and funds.  So, I am not sure if that will ever happen all at the same time.  Especially the funds part with retirement looming in the not so distant future.  It is quite possible that the vintage V65 Magnas will keep me plenty busy to satisfy my desires.  I know I have much to learn about them and they are a great starting spot.  I can ride while I learn.  So we shall see what the future brings with it.
I knew I saved that old office chair for a reason.  My knees don't get down on the ground as easily as they did 30 years ago.

I am still hoping to lose another 23-50 pounds as part of this transformation journey of mine.  I have no idea if that will happen, but I am moving on with life and if it is to be I will be thrilled.  Meanwhile life is much better than what it was 110 excess pounds ago.
Song is "Little Honda" by the Hondels.  I am 'dating' myself now.
