Last week I found a great front wheel that will be used on one of our bikes. The chrome is in excellent condition. Part of that old junked 1985 V65 will live on in another bike.
Most of the fun is in looking and looking and looking for a V65 in the motorcycle graveyard. You have to look for the V4 engine, then check to see if it is a Magna, then if it is the correct size Magna, and then the correct year because the year makes a difference on some parts. It really pays to take along a parts manual and a good repair manual so that you know what you are looking at. Also, plenty of water. Even on an 80 + degree day it gets hot out in that sun. This is a task that would be more fun on a 60 - 70 degree day. |
